Well, the first half of the term went quiiiccck! We’re looking forward to sunnier days (we’re hopeful) and marking the start of the summer season with fun in Lee Valley Regional Park! Keep reading to see things to do, places to go and the FREE fun that’s on offer.
Things to do
Watersports
We know the weather has been below par for spring, but we’re sure summer will be a splash with watersport. From kayaking, sailing and even battling an inflatable course, there are lots of different activities to enjoy!
Try your hand at Kayaking, Sup Boarding and test your skills on the Water Wipeout at Lee Valley White Water Centre. Book your sessions here

Athletics
Sprinting, running and jumping are great ways to keep fit and summer is a great time to start!
Star Track is back at Lee Valley Athletics Centre and is the perfect boot camp to get your budding athlete honing in their skills and putting them to the test in a competition on the final day. Book your space here
Fitness for free? We have some great running routes up and down the park were you can enjoy the sights of the season while keeping up healthy habits.
Cycling
Exploring the park on two wheels is a great way to cover lots of miles in a short amount of time! You can check out the different routes that are bike ready on our website.
Four different disciplines under one roof at Lee Valley VeloPark and they’ve a load of different school holiday sessions where the kids can try one or more different activities. See all the sessions here
Horse play!
If you love horses, Lee Valley Riding Centre is the place to be! Read about the different ‘Own a Pony’ Experiences on offer for different age groups:

Go on your very own treasure hunt with our orienteering routes! You can start at four different points in the park and discover new open spaces you might not have visited before.

Place to go
Fishers Green and the Wildlife Discover Centre – Picnic benches, great walking routes and your kids can explore the world around them at the Discovery Room and see what wildlife is on the lake in our state of the art hide.
Three Mills Green – Stunning open spaces, perfect for picnics and the Wild Kingdom play area
Myddelton House Gardens – beautiful botanical gardens with lush lawns for picnics, winding paths to let the kids imaginations go wild and you can purchase Ossie the Ostrich pack so the little ones can enjoy finding the hidden facts
