Fishers Green

Join us to find out about these amazing birds and hopefully see one come in to roost from the Wildlife Discovery Centre.

Bittern were once extinct in the UK but are now thriving thanks to conservation efforts in wetlands across the country. Join Lee Valley Regional Park’s conservation team to find out more about the ongoing works that take place in the park for these incredible birds and other wetland wildlife.  After a short talk overlooking Seventy Acres Lake we’ll head to the Wildlife Discovery Centre as the sun sets to warm up with a hot drink while searching for Bittern roosting in the reedbed. As with all wildlife watching we can’t guarantee the Bittern will show on the night but there should be plenty of other wildlife to keep us entertained while we wait.
