Coronavirus Update 30 June 2020

 
Keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe is our top priority. We’ve reviewed the Government’s latest advice on Coronavirus to see how we can start to get some of our sports and leisure venues open, something we’ll only do if we it be done safely and with measures which make activities viable.
 
Following Government advice we planning to reopen this site and are taking bookings for stays from 6 July 2020.
 
We’ve been working flat out to change the way our campsites run to keep our visitors and staff safe. We’ll make more changes as the Government releases more advice but rest assured our team are getting our campsites ready and are waiting to welcome you for your stay. In the meantime, you may want to visit Lee Valley Regional Park’s open spaces. If you do, you must follow the latest Government advice on social distancing. 
 
Being outside is good for you, but social distancing is essential for everyone’s health. If an area looks busy, go somewhere else.

The countryside campsite that’s near London

Why not take a short break and enjoy the best of both worlds? Lee Valley Campsite, Sewardstone is just that; a brilliant base for exploring the countryside and handy for central London too. The site's a perfect spot for tents, caravans, motorhomes and RV's, or you can choose to stay in a cosy cocoon or family cabin.

On and off site activities

Located within the rural countryside and on the outskirts of Chingford, Lee Valley Campsite, Sewardstone is perfect for a getaway. Enjoy the peacefulness and traffic free trails of the 1,000 acre River Lee Country Park, where you can walk or cycle at your pleasure and discover some of the rare wildlife that lives in the park. Perhaps take a boat out or join a river cruise at the Lee Valley  Boat Centre. If you're looking for something more adrenalin fuelled then Lee Valley White Water Centre is just down the road where you can experience the thrill of the white water rafting, surf the rapids hydrospeeding or enjoy a leisurely paddle on our lake with the kids.

If you're looking to discover the sights and sounds of the big city. From here you can be right at the heart of London in less than 30 minutes via public transport. To make things easier, one day London travel cards are available in the campsite shop.

Please note this site sits outside London's Low Emissions Zone, for more information on this please visit tfl.gov.uk. There are restrictions on the type of commercial vehicles allowed onto site (they must not exceed the following: 2m in height, 5.5m in length) - if you're unsure please check with us before booking.
