Keeping you safe

Keeping you safe

Throughout the Coronavirus outbreak, keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe has been our top priority. We’ve reviewed the Government’s latest advice and, with the help of a new booking system alongside changes to the way we run our campsites, we plan to reopen from 1 August and start welcoming you back

To help ensure everyone’s safety we’ve implemented the following:
  • All bookings will need to be made and paid for in advance online. This will help maintain social distancing with our team and allow us to carefully control the numbers of people at our sites
  • We’re only taking bookings for tents at Lee Valley Almost Wild Campsite, Broxbourne at the moment. Our other three sites are currently not taking bookings however this will be reviewed in the future
  • Social distancing guidelines will be in place
  • You’ll need to refrain from socialising with other visitors to the site
  • Not allowing day visitors on to the site at this time
  • We’re not taking bookings for groups or rallies at this moment

At our sites
  • We’ve stepped up the cleaning frequency in our toilet and shower blocks and any communal areas
  • Our shops will be open and our staff will be protected by screens and wearing appropriate PPE. Please observe any distance markings and the limits on the number of people allowed in the communal areas – these are in place your and our staff’s safety
  • Hand sanitiser will be available on site but we also recommend that you bring your own as well
  • For our camping pods, safari tents and lodges a 72 hour period between occupations has been set to allow us time to thoroughly clean them in line with recommended COVID standards
