Winding Water

During this walk we will visit the former ironworks, shipyard and coal wharf which is now a real wildlife haven in the urban environment. Trinity Buoy Wharf will be the first port of call where there is plenty of history to learn about. Doubling back you will expolore East India Dock Basin before crossing the road to the final part of this walk. Bow Creek Ecology Park is a fascinating place to visit any time of year, and one that’s won the prestigious Green Flag Park Award for four years running.

A short walk but packed with history and things to see. Within sight of Canary Wharf and the O2 Arena, you’ll discover these amazing historic sites that are now enjoying a new lease of life as wildlife reserves and valuable green spaces in the urban sprawl.

A pleasant stroll along a part of the River Thames opposite the O2 Arena giving a view that you don't always see.
