It's that time of year again and it's time to go wild about the wetlands and take part in loads of fun and free activities!

For 2017 we have some amazing activities including:

  • Pond dipping

  • Drawing competition to win a family ticket to Lee Valley Park Farms

  • Nature and wildlife arts and crafts

  • Make a minibeast hotel and take part in the minibeasts trail

  • Meet the bees, bat and birds

  • Guess the nest/skull flip up quiz

  • Coda falconry displays

  • and much much more!

Meet the animals from Lee Valley Park Farms including rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises, see the buzzing bees from Waltham Abbey Beekeepers, hold a bird of prey and listen to interesting talks about bats!

Top tips

  • There will be two guided walks around the Cornmill Meadows taking place at 11:00 and 13:00 where we will be searching for minibeasts!

  • Get your face painted as your favourite animal for only £1!

  • Why not bring a picnic and make the most of a summers day in Waltham Abbey Gardens? Alternatively refreshments will be available at Waltham Abbey Church.
