Join our site rangers for a guided tour of Leyton and Walthamstow Marshes. Learn about the sites importance for aviation history and why its wildlife has made it a Site Special Scientific Interest. If you are interested in natural history  or simply want a leisurely stroll in the beautiful countryside, this is the walk for you. 


Essential Info 


> The Meeting point for the walk will be Lee Valley Ice Centre, Lea Bridge Road, E10 7QL 

> The walk will last approximately 2 hours 

> The Site might be wet under foot so please wear appropriate clothing. 

> We would advise that this event is suitable for adults but interested children from 8+ are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

> Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead. 


Getting Here 


There is ample parking at Lee Valley Ice-Centre. For car parking prices please see link https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/go/iceskating/#plan-your-visit

By Car: Lee Valley Ice Centre is located just off the A104 Lea Bridge Road next to the Lee Valley Riding Centre.

By Rail: the nearest train stations are Lea Bridge station (a 5 minute walk) and Clapton (a 10 minute walk).

By Bus: bus routes 55, 56, and 48 all stop right outside The centre.
