A Walk in the Park - River Lee Country Park Explorer
On this installment of the 'A Walk in the Park' programme, we explore the historical and scenic landscapes of the River Lee Country Park.
River Lee Country Park stretches between Waltham Abbey in Essex and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. This 1,000 acre park has a huge variety of wildlife and history within Waltham Abbey Gardens and Broxbourne Old Mill and Meadows.
Please wear suitable clothing as trails can get muddy and it can be cold this time of year
Bring some water and snacks to keep you going
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead
Meeting point is at Fishers Green car park
By bus: 250, 251 - 30 minutes walk through River Lee Country Park or 505, 555 stop in Holyfield Road 10 - 20 minute walk on busy road (no footpath)
By train: the nearest station is Cheshunt, it is then a pleasant two mile walk through River Lee Country Park. Follow the signs to Lee Valley Park Farms through this beautiful country park.
By Car: Fishers Green is two miles north of Waltham Abbey on the B194 and just four miles from the M25.
No need to book, simply turn up.
