As part of our 'A Walk in the Park' programme, this walk will take you around Doobs Weir and Glen Faber.
This area is definitely one of those special places you’ll want to visit again and again. Relaxing walks, wildlife watching, history, excellent fishing, picnics, a café and nearby country pub at Dobbs Weir. Glen Faber is a beautiful countryside walk and it important for wildlife and fishing. An ex gravel pit which is now managed as a beautiful open space it really does have something for everyone.
Meeting location is at Dobbs Weir car park opposite the Fish and Eels pub. This is the start and end point for the walk. Please note that car parking is chargeable

By train: the nearest train stations are Broxbourne or Rye House on the Liverpool Street line (both about 30 - 40 minutes walk)
By bus: Monday - Friday 09:00 – 17:00 - routes C3 Monday - Saturday, routes 310, 311, 324, 392 Sunday Broxbourne Station Road traffic lights/Hoddesdon Town Centre By car: there is a pay and display car park located at Dobbs Weir. From J25, M25 take the A10 following the brown tourist signs
