Hoddesdon Model & Railway Club
The Hoddesdon Model & Railway Club is based at an idyllic location by the River Lea at Broxbourne Old Mill and Meadows. It hosts four different types of outdoor model railways; an outdoor pond for model boats and an indoor section that has two different types of model railway.
Founded in 1996 the club boasts experienced model makers and engineers who are sure to be able to help with your modelling problems. Visits to model railway exhibitions and preserved steam railways are arranged during the year and they also host their own club events.
Several open days are held throughout the year with an annual exhibition taking place at the end of August. The main open time for the public is Sunday morning between 10:00 - 12:30, but if there is a representative of the club at any other time they will be glad to show you around!
Whilst you’re in the area why not explore River Lee Country Park or visit the historic site of Broxbourne Old Mill and Meadows. You could even hire a boat at Lee Valley Boat Centre and travel down the beautiful River Lea.
