Self-led park visits

Lee Valley Regional Park stretches 26 miles (42 kms) from Ware in Hertfordshire to the banks of the Thames in East London. It comprises a host of leisure facilities. Activities available range from ice skating through to horse riding, cycling and golf as well as a visit to the popular Lee Valley Park Farms.

If you are planning your own trip to the park for your school or youth group and do not want to join one of our programmes be sure to contact us.

There are opportunities for you to arrange your own visit to sites and venues throughout the park, from Middlesex Filter Beds and Walthamstow Marsh in the south, to River Lee Country Park and Rye House Gatehouse in the north.

Please contact us if you would like to run a self-led visit to the park as there are various health and safety and site control measures your group may need to be aware of.  We can also provide advice on the best site for your needs whether for geography, history, art, science or environmental studies. You’ll be making the most of our expert knowledge, getting some free advice and free literature to help you plan your trip! We guarantee a call to us will half the time it will take you to plan your trip.
